Norman : Inta-maresting. Cakes, huh? 재밌구만. 케이크라고?

Carl : Yes, I just kind of went with my gut on it, Norm.

          그래. 좀 직감에 따라 승인한 것도 있지만 말야, 놈.

Carl : Yeah. 응.

Norman :  Could that, like, be my nickname? 애칭 같은 거야?

Carl : Yeah, I guess. 응, 그렇지.

Norman : Nice. I like your style, Car. That could be yours.

               좋아. 난 자네 스타일이 좋아, 카. 그건 자네 애칭이야.

Carl : Yeah. Carl is pretty short already, but ...

          그래, 칼도 이미 짧긴 하지만…

Norman : You could say it's the kind of dazzle we need around here.

                그런 눈부신 행동이 필요한 거야.

Norman : That whole Demco thing really chapped my ass.
   I marched upstairs and told the big guns Carl gets promoted
   in lieu of Demco or along with Demco, whichever. or I walk.

             뎀코일로 기분 많이 상했거든. 점장한테 달려가서 칼을 뎀코 대신 승진 시키든가
  같이 승진시키라고 했지. 안 그러면 내발로 걸어 나가겠다고.

Norman : And I said if you started to show some initiative
                 I could promote you.

Carl : Yeah. 그래.

Norman : You're making up nicknames.  애칭도 지어 불러 주고.

Carl :  Okay.

Norman : You know what? I called Demco this morning to ask 
   if he could work on Saturday.     
   Do you know what he said?

              있잖아, 아침에 뎀코한테 토요일에 일 할 수 있냐고 전화했는데,
   뭐랬는지 알아?

Carl : No. 아니.

Norman : How did you know that? 어떻게 알았어?

Carl : He's not here. 여기 없으니까.

Norman : Oh, yeah, but you are, Car, And that's why I'm gonna give the job to you.

                 그래, 근데 자넨 왔잖아.  그래서 승진 시키겠다는 거야.

Carl : Norm, that's amazing. Oh, my God. Thank you.

          놈, 그거 놀라운데. 세상에, 고마워.

Norman : Nice little raise in it for you too. Bump up your salary to sixty-five.

                연봉도 조금 올려주고. 65로 말이야.

Norman : Of course, thousand. Come on, let's step this thing up a notch, Broseph.
