웃음을 조기교육 시키자

자녀의 지능지수, 감성지수를
올리기 위해 학원을 3~4개씩 보낸다.
동네에 지나다니는 학원차를 보면
참 다양한 학원이 있음을 알게 된다.

아이들은 저녁 먹고 학원에 가기 바쁘다.
밤늦게 집으로 향하는 청소년들을 보면
축 늘어진 어깨가 왠지 나를 슬프게 한다.

그래서인지 요즘 아이들의 얼굴을
살펴보면 웃음이 없다.
기껏 한다는 것이 부모 눈을 피해
온라인 게임을 하는 것이다.

진정으로 아이의 미래를 밝게 하려면
웃을 수 있는 환경을 마련해 주어야 한다.
아이들은 생후 2~3개월부터 웃기 시작해서
20개월쯤 되면 스스로 웃음을 자아내는 행동을 한다.

하지만 아이 스스로 웃길 줄 아는
환경이 되지 않으면
자라면서 점점 무뚝뚝해지는 것이다.

웃음이 많은 아이로 자라게 하기 위해서는
부모가 먼저 많이 웃어야 한다.
즐거운 감정을 자주 전달하여
아이 스스로가 유머감각을 기를 수 있도록
환경을 만들어주어야 한다.

이제 다른 조기교육에 열을 내지 말고
웃음 조기교육을 먼저 시키자.
