Organizers of a first-of-its-kind International Conference on English for Uniformed Forces asked us to show how VOA materials could help police and military learn English. The conference is June 26-28, hosted by the Indonesian National Defense Forces Peacekeeping Center in Bogor. Participants include the British Council and UK Defense Ministry, the US State Department and Justice Department, and officials from other countries in Europe, Asia and Africa. |
