Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?

Thou art more lovely and more temperate.

Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,

Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,

And every fair from fair sometime declines,

By chance, or nature's changing course, untrimmed;

But thy eternal summer shall not fade,

So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see,

So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

그대를 여름날과 비교해 볼까요?

그대는 더욱 사랑스럽고 온화합니다.

거친 바람이 매력적인 5월의 꽃망울을 흔들면

여름날은 너무도 짧습니다.

언젠가너무나 뜨거운 태양의 눈이 빛나고

그의 황금빛 안색이 어르레해지면

모든 아름다움 중의 아름다움도 물론

우연히 또는 자연의 변화에 흐려지지만

그대의 영원한 여름은 사라지지 않을 것입니다.

그대 지닌 그 아름다움도 잃어버리지 않을 것입니다.

그대가 죽음 속에 헤맬지라도 그것은 자랑치 못할 것입니다.

이 불멸의 시 속에서 그대 영원할테니까요.

인간이 존재하는 한, 바라볼 수 있는 한

이 시들이 살아있는 그날까지, 그대에게 생명을 부여할 것입니다.
