설날은 보통 가족과 함께하는 휴일입니다. 많은 사람들이 그들의 부모와 친척들이 있는 고향에 가는데 3일연휴를 사용하게 되고, 그곳에서 차례를 지내죠. 한복이라 불리는 컬러풀한 전통 한국인의 옷을 입습니다. 하지만, 요즘엔 한복대신 양복을 입거나 캐쥬얼하게 입기도 합니다.
