Edward: Did you regret going?

              간 거 후회한 거야?

**regret이나 remember 같은 동사가 동명사를 목적어로 취하면 과거에 한 행동을 의미하고

부정사를 목적어로 취하면 말하는 시점 이후의 행동에 대해 이야기하는 것임.

/I regret having spent the money. = I regret that I (have) spent the money.

나는 그 돈을 쓴 것을 후회하고 있다.

/I regret to say that he did not pass the examination.

알려드리기 유감스럽게도 그는 시험에 합격하지 못했다.

/ Remember to get the letter registered. 그 편지를 잊지 말고 등기로 부쳐 주시오

/ I remember meeting her once. =I remember that I met her once.

나는 그녀를 한 번 만난 기억이 있다

Bella: No. It was really great to see my mom. Just really hard saying goodbye.

         아니. 엄마 본 거 정말 좋았어. 작별 인사하는 게 힘들었지.

Edward: It doesn't have to be goodbye.

            작별인사일 필요는 없어.

Bella: Is that why you ask me to go? You thought I was gonna change my mind.

           그래서 나한테 가자고 한 거야? 내가 마음을 고쳐 먹을 거라 생각했어?

Edward: I'm always hoping for that. 늘 그걸 바라긴 해.

Bella: What? 뭔데?

Edward: If I asked you to stay in the car, would you? Of course not.

            차에 있으라고 하면 그래 줄거니? 당연히 안 그러시겠지.

Bella: Hey.  왔구나.

Jacob: Charlie said you left town.

               멀리 갔었다며.

Bella: Yeah. To visit my Mom, why?

              응. 엄마 보러. 왜?

Edward: Just checking to see if you're still human.

                네가 아직 인간인지 확인하는 거야.

Jacob: I'm coming here to warn you. If your kind come on our land again...

           너한테 경고하러 온 거야. 네 종족들이 다시 우리 땅에 발 들여 놓으면…

Bella: Wait, what? 잠깐, 뭐야?

Jacob: You didn't tell her? 말 안 했어?

Edward: Just leave it alone, Jacob.  넌 신경쓰지마.

*leave it alone 저대로 두다, = leave it just as it is

/If she cannot bear to do so, please leave it alone.

그녀가 차마 그렇게 하지 못 한다면 그 문제에 관여하지 마세요.

Bella: Tell me what? 무슨 말?

Edward: Emmett and Paul had a misunderstanding, there is nothing to worry about.

             에밋이랑 폴이 오해가 있었어. 걱정할 건 아니고.

Jacob: Listen to you. Did you lie to get her out of town, too?

             설마, 거짓말해서 벨라 데리고 멀리 간 거야?

*Listen to you! 뭐라고, 설마, 바보 같은!

Edward: You should leave. Now. 여기서 떠나. 지금.

Jacob: She has a right to know. She is the one the red-head wants.

        벨라도 알 권리가 있어. 빨간 머리가 원하는 게 벨라니까.

Bella: Victoria? Alices's vision.

       빅토리아? 앨리스가 본 게 빅토리아였어.

Edward: I was trying to protect you.

            널 보호하려고 그랬어.

Bella: By lying to me. Okay. We're gonna talk about this, but... You! Why haven't you

called me back?

거짓말로? 좋아. 이 얘긴 나중에 하고. 근데 너! 넌 왜 나한테 전화 안 했어?

Jacob: I had nothing to say. 할 말이 없었어.

Bella: Well, I have tons. Hold on. 난 엄청 많아. 기다려.

Edward: Hey. Bella. 이 봐, 벨라.

Bella: Edward, you have to trust me.

          에드워드, 날 믿어.

Edward: I do trust you. It's him I don't trust.

            널 믿어. 저 놈을 믿지 못하는 거지.

Bella: Lose the grin, Jacob. We're just going for a ride.

         그만 쪼개라, 제이크. 그냥 드라이브 가는 거니까.

*~를 면하다, 벗어나다. / lose one’s fear of …에 대한 공포를 없애다

/ I’ve lost my cold. 감기가 나았다.

/ Lose the scotch… It's barely noon.  스카치는 내려 놔…이제 겨우 정오야.

Jacob: Hold on tight. 꽉 잡기나 하셔.
