Point: that절이 형용사절로 앞에 있는 추상명사를 수식하며, 관계사절과는 달리 문장 형식이 완전할 때 이를 동격의 that절이라 한다. 동격의 that절이 따를 수 있는 명사로 fact, belief, theory, discovery, evidence, legend, possibility, probability, announcement 등이 있다.

명사1(추상명사)[that S V~] 동사1~ : 동사1의 형태와 수는 N1이 결정한다.
