[2] IT 매니저, 국제무역-신입

저는 LA에 있는 OO 대학에서 CIS(Computer Information System)을 전공하였으며 작년에 졸업을 하였습니다. 유학생으로 몇 년 동안 뉴욕에서 살았으며, 고학으로 대학을 나왔습니다. 그리고 200x년 1월에 한국으로 돌아왔습니다. 한국에 오기 전에 뉴욕 컴퓨터교육센터에서 6개월간 오라클 데이타 베이스 실무교육 과정을 수료함으로써 오라클 국제 공인 자격증을 취득하였으며 200x년 5월에는 네트워크 플러스 국제 자격증 또한 취득하였습니다.

I graduated from OO College last year, with a major in CIS(Computer Information System) in LA. I had lived in New York for several years as an overseas student and worked my way through college. I just came back to Korea on January 200x. Before coming back to Korea, I got an OCP (Oracle Certification Professional) Certification by completing 6 months' practical database training course at New York Computer Education Center. Beside that, I received Network Plus certification on May 200x.

사실상 그 대학의 교육과정에는 시스템 분석과 데이터베이스관리와 같은 전공수업뿐만 아니라 경제학, 회계학, 그리고 재정학과 같은 학과과정도 포함되어 있습니다. 그래서 경영학을 잘 이해하고 있는 컴퓨터 전공자로써 일상 업무 중 어려운 부분에 대해서는 상당부분 컴퓨터를 이용해서 자동화 할 수 있는 능력을 가지고 있다고 자신 있게 말씀드릴 수 있습니다.

As a matter of fact, the college curriculum included not only the core computer classes, such as system analysis, and database management, but also business courses like business administration, accounting, and finance. So, as a computer major with strong understanding of business administration, I could confidently say that I am capable of computerizing many of the difficult tasks of the daily office operation.

어떤 종류의 업무든 할 수 있지만, 컴퓨터일과 국제무역 또는 영어와 관련된 업무에 관심이 있습니다. 위에서 언급한 데로 컴퓨터 기술 외에 저의 뛰어난 영어구사능력 또한 현재의 세계화 시장에서는 아주 큰 장점이 될 것이라고 생각합니다. 아시다시피 영어를 배우는 것은 단지 시험에서 높은 점수만 얻는다고 되는 것이 아니라, 경험, 습관 그리고 직관력과 관련이 있습니다. 그러므로 귀 회사의 목표와 목적을 위해 제가 가지고 있는 그러한 기술들을 사용하는 것이 큰 이득이 될 것입니다.

Even if I can do any sort of general office works, I am very interested in computer stuffs and international trading or any other English related jobs. Beside those computer skills I mentioned above, my excellent command of English is also a very critical advantage for the current globalization market. As you know, learning a language is not just about getting high score on the exam. It is all about experience, habit and intuition. Therefore it will be a good benefit for your organizational goals and objectives to use those skills that I have.

한국인의 시각으로 볼 때 저는 나이가 조금 많겠지만, 저는 몇 년 동안의 해외경험, 훌륭한 컴퓨터 및 영어 구사실력을 가지고 있기 때문에 귀사의 이력서 파일에 있는 다른 사람들과는 다르다는 것을 감히 말씀드리고 싶습니다. 불우한 처지에 뉴욕에서 유학생활을 여러 해 동안 하면서, 한국 중앙일보사에서 인쇄와 필름편집 보조로써 일을 하였으며, 2001년 뉴욕 자비츠센터에서 개최된 'PC Expo' 기간에는 한국 벤처기업을 위해 통역을 하였고, 그리고 생활비를 벌기 위해 벼룩시장, 제과점 그리고 레스토랑 같은 곳에서 아르바이트를 했습니다. 뉴욕에서 생활하면서 얻은 가장 큰 소득은 인간으로써 뿐만 아니라 현시대에 국제사회의 일원으로써 다양한 문화들, 보편적인 가치관, 인간성, 그리고 세계화를 배우는 것이었습니다.

Although I am a little bit old if you view it from Korean perspectives, I would like to humbly mention the fact that I, unlike other people in your piles of resumes, have several years' overseas experience, good computer and English skills. Studying under adversity in New York for several years as an international student, I worked at Korean Central Daily Newspaper Company as a printing and film editing assistant, and experienced as a translator for Korean ventures company at '2001 PC Expo' exhibited in New York City as well as other kinds of part time jobs to earn my living, such as flea market, bakery store and restaurant. But the most benefit of living in New York was to learn diverse cultures, universal values, humanity, and globalization not only as a human being but also as a member of international community in modern times.
