[원문] Song Kang-ho was named the best actor in an international film festival recently. He was awarded the International Critics’ Prize for Best Actor at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in California. He starred in the movie “Secret Sunshine(밀양).” It was directed by Lee Chang-dong. His co-star Jeon Do-yeon already won the Best Actress award at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival with this film last May. 
Song started as an actor in a theater group. He started appearing in movies since 1996. In “No.3,” he appeared as a gangster who trains a group. He won his first award at the Blue Dragon Film Awards in Korea. Song had a success supporting role in the mega-hit film “Shiri” in 1999. Song also starred in one of Korea’s biggest grossing film, “The Host.” The movie was a great success in and out of Korea.
