Today we have higher buildings and wider highways, but shorter temperaments and narrower points of view.
오늘날 우리는 더 높은 빌딩과 더 넓은 고속도로를 가지고 있지만,
성질은 더 급해지고 시야는 더 좁아졌습니다.
We spend more, but enjoy less.
We have bigger houses, but smaller families.
We have more compromises, but less time.
We have more knowledge, but less judgement.
We have more medicine, but less health.
돈은 더 쓰지만 즐거움은 줄었고,
집은 더 커졌지만 식구는 더 줄어들었습니다
일은 더 대충 대충 넘겨도 시간은 늘 모자라고
지식은 많아졌지만, 판단력은 줄어들었습니다.
약은 더 먹지만 건강은 더 나빠졌습니다.
We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values.
We talk a lot, love a little, and hate too much.
가진 것은 몇 배가 되었지만, 가치는 줄어 들었습니다.
말은 많이 하지만 사랑은 적게 하고 미움은 너무 많이 합니다.
