   Last Stop

He should be at work, sitting at his desk, which is a ten minute walk from his house.

An older gentleman with grey hair sits on the seat opposite him.

Are you ok? You look lost.”

기철은 자기가 어디로 가고 있는지 알아 보려는 듯 차창 밖을 살폈다 looked around and out of the windows trying to get his bearings.

Where are you trying to go?

I wasn't trying to go anywhere, I don't even remember getting on this bus.”

마지막으로 기억하는 게 아침에 잠에서 깬 거에요 the last thing I remember is waking up in bed this morning.”

And how did you feel?

기철은 이상한 질문 a bit of a strange question 이라고 생각했다.

Rough night, huh?.”

Well, at least you know where you are getting off?”

자네 마지막 정류장은 한참 멀었지 that back there was my last stop, not yours. Your last stop wont come for a very long time.

Sometimes when a person moves on, he or she leaves behind some unfinished business, I have some unfinished business.

A knock came to her front door. She didn't particularly want to answer

I'm coming, I'm coming.”

Can I help you?

두 시간 뒤 기철은 진숙의 손을 잡고 식장에 입장하고 있었다 he walked her down the isle. 진숙은 울지 않으려고 애를 썼지만 눈물 한 방울이 뺨을 타고 흘렀다 one tear escaped down her cheek. 기쁨의 눈물이었다 this tear was not a tear of sadness, it was a tear of joy.

:

:

:

미드로영어공부 wade through / step out / leave of absence

단어 1 “Tom, do you have any idea what I’m wading through here?”
