거절하다, 거부하다(=refuse)
A: I can't believe you turned down Samsung to work here.
B: Why? This is a great company.
A: Yeah, but Samsung offers much more pay.
B: And no life.

turn down은 제안이나 초대를 거절한다는 뜻입니다. 대명사는 turn it down처럼 가운데에 넣습니다.
A: Why did you turn down the offer?
왜 그 제안을 거절했어?
B: The hours didn’t work for me.
근무 시간이 나랑 안 맞았어.
Reject = 거절하다
